Throwback Darth Maul mecha-legs texture

 Back when I was working In ILM San Francisco. I was assigned the task to create photorealistic textures and lookdev for the surprise villain in the "Solo:Star wars story" Movie.

They showed me the model that was created by the ILM supervisors and then I started working on the textures "History" of these particular legs. Being that they were supposed to be owned by a martial artist, you have to show that even though they were ,made of a fancy metal they still had endured several battles from a dark sith. It was pretty fun.

I am even more amazed when there are toy companies out there that completely replicate my CG textures into the an actual toy of darth Maul. It is pretty crazy to think that sometimes your digital creation travels so far all over the world... Thankful for the experience.
